Educating Leaders
IonE is shaping the next generation of environmental leaders with specialized training in communication, media relations, entrepreneurship, systems thinking and more. While our efforts focus on graduate, professional and postdoctoral students, we also serve the larger University community by coordinating the undergraduate sustainability minor and other environment-related offerings, the emerging graduate sustainability programs, and the U of M’s Environment & Sustainability Portal.
Leadership Development
IonE offers students a range of advanced educational opportunities in communication, media relations, entrepreneurship, systems thinking and more through the Acara and Boreas Leadership Program.
Sustainability Education
Sustainability education provides undergraduate and graduate students from diverse disciplines an opportunity to weave a sustainability theme into their disciplinary work.
Fellowships
IonE offers graduate students and postdoctoral scholars an opportunity to work on groundbreaking research related to energy, sustainability and the environment.
ENVIRONMENT & SUSTAINABILITY PORTAL
The Environment and Sustainability Portal provides one-stop access to campus sustainability initiatives, environment-related research and educational programs, campus events related to environment and sustainability, and much more.
